Finally, I think I’ve found a home for my narrow, hard to fit, sensitive feet! I have an impossible time finding shoes! I wear 8.5N, so ordered the 39N. It felt like a good fit except that where leather overlaps on the inside of the shoe, it rubbed a bone on the outside of my right foot. (My right foot, for whatever reason, has a bone that sticks out more than my left foot). OUCH! So, I ordered a 40N. They are definitely looser and don’t feel as narrow (so my foot moves around more), but I think I can fix that with thicker socks. Most importantly, the 40N doesn’t seem to irritate my feet at all. I’m going to keep wearing them around the house for awhile to make sure that they don’t bother my high instep. (Another problem I have is that shoes that go up over my instep often cause pain and numbness on the top of my foot). I think these are going to be loose enough to not cause that problem. Overall, a comfortable, supportive shoe!
My feet are happy feet in heaven in this shoe. But a note of caution with the sizing- I wear a 39 in another Dansko (The Raphael) but in this shoe, the Professional, without a doubt I needed a 40. I had to return the 39; my toes were rubbing up against the end. I wear an 8 1/2 medium-to-slightly narrow usually in other shoes. Dansko Cassie Shoes are the best! THE best customer service on the planet and at the speed of light. I ordered these shoes one afternoon and received them the next morning!!
No more pain!! My podiatrist recommended Danskos. I have plantar fasciitis (heel and arch pain) I couldn’t wear regular Danskos because they were too wide. I normally wear a 9 1/2 AAA. Had to order a size 41 (US size 11). They are still a little wide but ok with a thicker sock. I have worn these to work the past 2 weeks. I’ve had a significant decrease in pain and no issues with break in. I plan to buy another pair for casual wear and hope Dansko will make more shoes in a narrow width.
These shoes are slippers you can wear in public. Awesome shoe, very comfortable. They are narrow, but not too narrow. Fit like a glove to the point that you don’t want to take them off. Keep your feet warm and have a very nice appearance. All occasion shoe. I have worn them with dressy items and jeans. Love them and probably will purchase a brown pair. My only complaint is that there are only three pairs available in narrow.
I have flat feet and this shoe provides excellent support. If I don’t have good support, my ankles and knees bother me. This shoe keeps my feet in good position. The sizing seems to be quite variable. I have the Professional Narrow in another color and it’s much tighter in the instep. I was actually really pleased that my second pair was roomier. I wear this shoe every day.
My favorite shoe - I know it seems dorky to just write that this is my favorite show, but it is! It slips on/off easily, but not so much that it just slides off when I walk quickly. The arch support is GREAT, and I love the rocking action when I walk! I just wish this shoe came in different colors.
I work in a restaurant and go through my shoes very quickly. These are a great non-slip shoe and comfortable for long shifts. The shoe has excellent arch support, but I have mid to low arches so they are irritable at times. I was happy to finally find the shoe in narrow.
This is my first pair, so they took a little while to get used to, especially the loose heel. However, they are quickly becoming one the pairs of shoes that I wear the most - they are very comfortable. As for the look, well, they look like clogs - not very glamorous, but that’s not why you buy them. I have very narrow feet, so I have never been able to wear Dansko Cassie Shoes for Women’s before - I hope they start to offer the narrow size in a wider range of colors and prints!
Best clog for narrow feet - Great news: no need for thick sox for those of us with narrow feet! I’ve always had my “clog sox” near my clogs… No More: now I can wear any sox with these great looking, comfortable clogs that I don’t slip and slide around in (which I didn’t mind because they were so comfortable). Now I’ve got perfect comfort! I recommend these narrow size clogs to everyone with narrow feet!
i’ve been wearing Birks for years but my dr. advised that i needed more arch support. these are perfect. Now, if only Dankso would provide more styles with narrow widths. I could buy an insole to make the mediums fit but that seems to defeat the purpose of spending so much on this shoe.
Great fit and support - I love the narrow Dansko! I’ve ordered the narrow Birkenstocks in the past with good success. The Dansko has great support, the narrow footbed cradles my foot perfectly and they look great, too! Good stability for Chicago winters. Great shoe.
Easy on my knees! I have a job that requires a lot of time on my feet. I know in my knees if I do not wear my Danskos! I love the NARROW size and they stay on my feet more than the regular width. Cordovan color came darker than the photo, but still pretty. Mine look purple!
I have diabetic neuropathy in my feet and so I am always looking for comfortable shoes! These are very comfy. I did add a more cushioned insole to them, but that is due to my own foot peculiarities. The insole is cushy and yet firm, the shoes stay on well with the straps, are extremely lightweight. I got them because at the large hospital where I work, I constantly see operating room nurses, techs and surgeons wearing them–I figure they are on their feet many hours a day and must know what is comfy–and these shoes seem to do it for them, so that was good enough for me! I love the colors they come in–I got a very sedate dark brown for my first pair, but plan to get some fun colors too. They are inexpensive enough that I figure I can splurge!
Bought on a whim - My husband and I were walking (he was walking I was limping) in our local mall this past winter and I saw these ugly clog like shoes. I knew I had seen them on others feet but considered them nothing but a fad however I knew they would be helpful to me as we were getting a puppy & I am unable to wear boots do to a calcium buildup on my lt. heel so I figured I didn’t care what color they were (purple) I just needed something water proof. Anyway as I was paying for them the clerk was going on and on about how wonderful they were…go to summer 2006, I’m anxious for the new Crocs to get in the stores so I can get at least 1 more pair (black). Nice Dansko Cassie Shoes. I can not stress enough how everyone should at least try them out. Your feet will thank you, and after awhile you forget the shoes are ugly (I’m in my 50s, give me a break).
I’m a nurse so naturally I’m constantly on my feet, I had bought a pair of Nike Air Shox prior to purchasing my Crocs, and for the price I paid for the Nikes I could have bought at least 3 pairs of Crocs!! The comfort is amazing I have noticed how my legs are no longer fatigued at the end of my shift, and I’m just one of those people who can’t stand to have shoes on, so Crocs offer me some sort of freedom from being confined to a shoe that doesn’t allow my feet to breathe, So in my opinion these shoes have been a great investment in my own comfort, and color wise I can coordinate with all of my uniforms, so take a chance and order a nice spunky color like lime, pink, coral…I could go on and on, but really this is a great product!!
Tons of comfort! Ok– I was skeptical at first. Our massage therapist wears these and she raves about them. So I had to try them out and I’m a believer. Incredibly comfortable and has support! I bought them in my true size and had no problem with them fitting, so I don’t know what the deal is with buying them a size smaller. I have butter yellow; definitely cuter in bright colors. I bought my husband a pair, and he swears by them. Great for walking the dog! I’ll have to buy another pair for Fall/Winter (sans holes).
