The Madigan – These mules are so incredibly comfy! They seemed to run the same size, consistent with all of my other Danskos. The only drawback is that they look a little chunky on the foot, and are a little heavier than some of my other Dansko Chris Boots, even than the Professional. But I have to say, I had to keep them because the comfort of the shoe overrides everything else! I can be on my feet all day without any foot pain. The wine color is also very pretty.

I absolutely love them. I am a restaurant manager and am on my feet for 10 hours or more. They are so comfortable. My feet do not feel so tired after working a long shift. I use to have problems with my knees and ever since I have been wearing my Madigan�s these problems do not exist. I walk on hard marble floors. I would definitely purchase another pair and would most certainly recommend them. I also get a lot of comments on how nice they look.
The most comfortable shoe ever – As a nurse practitioner, I was looking for a comfy shoe that also looked professional. Found it in this shoe. I am most likely going to get one in black as well. I have had so many compliments from patients about my shoes. I wear a 7.5 shoe religiously, but went with the suggestion to buy the open back a size smaller and it was the best decision. I bought a 37 and it stretched out a little the first day. Love it so much I’m wearing it out – I love Danskos and this one is truly comfy. It’s also stylish enough to wear with a suit or dressy pants (at least on the west coast). My only complaint is that the finish is wearing off very fast and it already looks scuffed. The dark brown (very attractive) shiny textured finish rubs off leaving a cheap-looking dull reddish brown with no texture. Even better than other Dansko�s – I love these shoes. They’re really comfy. I’ve worn Dansko�s clogs, and found the heel to be too hard, and the clogs to be tippy. (I turned my ankle a lot). Madigan�s have a nice soft heel and are very stable. Good arch support and easy to break in. I could stand and stroll in them all day. I probably wouldn’t wear them for walking miles and miles. They are a little bit heavy and look a little bulky, but are great with jeans.

I sent my last pair back to Dansko because I thought they were defective, and I thought I would give them another chance – but this pair is really squeaky too. A little embarrassing at work. Great shoe, a bit too shiny, but like it…. Really like the shoe, and the arch support. Improves posture and felt great from the second I put it on. If it were a bit less shiny, it would look better with more casual outfits, jeans and such. I am normally a 9 1/2, with sizes ranging from 9-10 depending on the style. Size 40 in this shoe fit me perfectly, and I have normal to wider feet and flat feet. My feet do get a little sweaty in these shoes, more than my other shoes. Also, because of the height of the heel, and my lower back problems, it’s not the best thing for my lower back. But, the only solution to that would be a flat shoe, not always the option I want to go with. Overall, nice shoe, and really like Danskos. Total Comfort! The minute you put them on they are comfortable. Thought they might be too big and clunky but wore them all day and my feet loved them. Look good with jeans. Awesome – In Sept. 2005 I had major foot surgery, bunion & hammertoe for my right foot. My shoe size changed by 1/2 size now making me a true 12 1/2 to 13. The reviews on Madigan convinced me that this was the shoe to try post surgery. I was surprised and thrilled at the comfort and style. My nursing shoes are Dansko’s, I have several pairs of sandals, and a couple pairs of the classic Dansko’s. They are consistently comfortable, with good arch support, and look good. These are the greatest! This is one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve eve worn! I have a high arch so clogs and slip-ons are usually a problem, but these fit perfectly. As with any Dansko shoe, you do have to order the next size larger as they don’t come in half sizes. The quality of the shoes is wonderful and the style is beautiful. Have gotten lots of compliments on them BEST CLOG EVER!! I searched high and low for the perfect work shoe.. I work in a doctors office, on my feet all day. I bought and returned over 5 different pairs, including Eccos, Clarks, and Josef Seibels.. never were they comfortable enough to wear all day and spend the high dollar for. Needless to say, I was more than a little frustrated!! I am so thankful that my coworker talked me into buying the Dansko Madigan.. it is like wearing slippers all day to work..I love love love them.. comfort and class all rolled up in one awesome shoe! Don’t hesitate to get this.. it’s well worth the money. My only regret is that I didn’t listen to her sooner:) Nice slip on for travel and work- I can’t begin to count the number of Dansko shoes and clogs I own. I purchased this one as an alternative. It looks nice and is great in airports. The shoe is a tad bit heavy. I also notice that when I walk fast, I need to tense my foot just a bit to keep the shoe from moving- even though I do not consider the shoe nearly as wide as the Professionals. In fact, I wear these with stockings- not socks- with little play in the width. I like the fact that the shoe has a 2″ heel instead of a lower heel. Overall, I like the feel of the last and sole of the Golden Gate line, but notice that on me, it runs about 1/2 size larger than expected. I work retail and I am on my feet for long periods of time. I was desperate for a shoe that would allow me to be on my feet for hours and yet would not cause back pain. My co-workers all swear by Dansko’s so I thought I would give them a try. As soon as I slipped these on I knew they were the ones for me. I bought them and wore them out of the store and right to work. They rubbed a little bit on the top of my foot. My co-workers insisted that it was because of the stiff leather and to give it a couple days. Sure enough after 2-3 wearings the rubbing is gone and they are the best shoes I have ever had. I absolutely love these and would recommend these to anyone. I can be on my feet for several hours and my feet and back feel great. If they rub, try to give it some time, you won’t be sorry. I bought the brown cabrio and really can wear them with black or brown as they are so versatile. Buy larger, but enjoy wearing this shoe. Madigan feels good on, all day long. I would not expect less than this from a Dansko shoe. It looks great with slacks and skirts. While travelling last week, I was asked by numerous other women in two airports where I got my shoes.
Being a size 10 (41) everything looks a little big on me (like the other reviewer said–gunboats!) But I love this Dansko clog. I like the modern look and plenty of room for my toes. I am used to the rocker motion since I owned another pair of Dansko. But these are better since insole is PADDED! Super arch support. I have a lot of heel pain (Plantar fasciitis) and this shoe helps a lot. I am super pleased. Get a lot of comments on how cute it looks.
A great clog with a professional look. These are my first pair of Dansko clogs. I thought I’d give them a try since as a resident physician I often work 30-hour shifts. Very comfortable when on your feet for long periods of time. The open back gives them a much looser fit than my shoe-type Dansko’s.
I found not quite enough toe room in this Dansko. It probably would stretch out with wear, but I am trying to train myself not to buy shoes with that thought in mind. I am sure Dansko had to make it snug over the instep so it would stay on the foot, but with my wide foot and high arch, it wasn’t for me.
Better than expected – I’m a runner who’s been having a lot of problems with plantar fasciatis (arch pain), so I’ve been wearing my sneakers (and sports orthotics) to work. I needed a pair of “nicer” shoes that would give me support in the arch – and these have been a dream. Comfortable right out of the box (with socks), and with the option of using my own orthotics – though I found the shoe itself was supportive enough. I’m a 7.5 so I sized up to the 38. The only drawback – they look a little masculine/clunky – not as cute as a sexy sandal or heel – but not as bad as some of the other “supportive” shoes.
