  1. Liz Says:

Dansko oiled clog - These shoes are incredibly comfortable. These are my second pair. They are a beautiful brown, almost with the color and texture of suede. The only problem, is that a liquid was dropped on one and I’m not sure how to clean it off. I usually take a size 8 shoe and I got the larger size and they fit perfectly. As someone who is on their feet all day long, my back and feet feel great. Love them!

  2. Amy from Manhattan Says:

Can walk all day in them - I’m a RN and have a pair for work and they decrease the amount of leg pain I usually have after a 12hr shift. I bought this pair for walking around in NYC–they look great with jeans and I can walk for hours with them without any leg or foot pain. Awesome!

  3. Heather from Napa Valley Says:

My Favorite Shoe! I’m a caterer so on my feet for 13 hours at a time some days. I’ve had the black for years and wear them with jeans, work pants and SUITS (I even wore them under an evening gown while on stage receiving an industry award–shhh!). I bought the brown so that I could wear them with more outfits—-first I purchased the style with the side strap because when wearing thick socks my black pair sometimes feels tight around the top, but I didn’t like the way the side strap looked—-I like a more classic look. Thank the Gods for Zappos!!!! LOVE their shipping & returns policy…..Love the brown and they broke in faster then I remember my black ones doing (something to know about Danskos—they sometimes have a hard break-in period because they form to your foot so exactly). The leather is a beautiful soft natural brown. FYI: Something I’ve learned about Dansko clogs is you need to learn to walk in them differently then you would regular shoes.

  4. Laura Says:

Casual comfort - I love my brown oiled Dansko’s! The comfort is great, but I also like the nubuck leather.. it looks a little more casual and isn’t shiny like the straight professional Dansko’s. I prefer this style. Goes better with jeans and khaki pants.

  5. Eva B Says:

Finally a shoe that fits post-pregnancy feet! After giving birth to my son I had a terrible time finding anything that would fit my newly widened feet! After reading the reviews for these and with a recommendation from a friend I gave these a try. They are wonderful! Great arch support, love the freedom of movement for my toesies! Don’t wear your favorite socks right away because they colored all of my white ankle socks black until the color wore off a bit on the inside. The sizing is little strange too. I normally take a 9 1/2 but I had to order what Zappos called a size 11 (41). I would definitely recommends these for people who have wide feet and trouble finding shoes to accommodate them!

  6. Carolynn Says:

1/2 size would of been - First I got size 9 since that is the size of all my Danskos. This one was way to large, my feet slid forward and back even after putting on thicker socks. I ordered a size 8 and was too small. Could tell if it came in a 8 1/2 it probably would fit. Very sad since I liked the Antique Brown look.

  7. Little Rock, Arkansas Says:

Great shoe. I normally wear high heels, but occasionally, my knees and my feet need a break. These shoes are perfect to wear to work on those days because they are very comfortable, but not ugly. I have wide feet and high arches, so I was concerned about the fit. However, the width is fine for me. The top is tight on the top of my feet due to my high arches, but I am hoping that they will stretch as I continue to wear them. Overall, I am very pleased with the shoe and its comfort.

  8. Minnesota Says:

Dansko pro-clogs - I am a Chef and stand up all day. I have worn Birkenstock pro-clogs for the past 10 years. I decided I needed a change and tried Dansko. They offer more support and are very comfortable. I love these shoes! They do take a week or 2 to get used to (if youre used to wearing flat shoes). I won’t wear any other shoe for work.

  9. Annapolis,MD Says:

Teacher comfort - I am an art teacher who stands on a tile floor all day. I have had tremendous luck with these closed back clogs. I already have black, red &russet suede clogs so I tried the oiled Professionals. I first was confused by the “scuffing” that happened with this finish but found I could run my hand over the marks and they would disappear. Magic shoes!

  10. Barb from Covington, WA Says:

Very comfortable, but could be looser around the top. These clogs replaced a pair I had from a different manufacturer that were extremely comfortable, but not of the same quality. I was pleased to find that these were very comfortable the first time I put them on. The arches are very supportive and my feet do not feel tired at the end of the day. I wear a size 8 and the 39’s fit me, however, I would have liked a little more room on the top. I will not be able to wear very thick socks with them unless they stretch out, and my feet tend to get warm if I don’t walk around and let some air in. I don’t think I would have wanted a wider shoe, however, as the footbed fits very well.

  11. Tennessee Says:

Most comfortable shoes I have worn in a long time - my feet use to hurt after a long day - not any more!!!! They do slide up and down on the heel - it takes getting use to (not long because they are so comfortable) I usually wear a 7 1/2 so I ordered a 8 and they work fine.

  12. North Carolina Says:

Best knock around shoes - I had to replace my old brown Dansko clogs when my dog decided to make a midnight snack out of them. I wear them all the time - they are the most comfortable shoes around. I can walk absolutely for hours in them. Definitely would recommend for anyone who spends time on their feet.

  13. Boston, MA Says:

Not for high arches - I’ve had a pair of Marcellus (the Mary Jane style Danskos) for more than 4 years. They are fantastic. I decided to try a pair of proper clogs, and I could barely get these on my feet. They are not made for people with high arches. The top of the shoe covers the highest part of the foot and I really had to wedge my foot in. I’m sure these are just as comfortable as my Marcellus and I like the look too, but the top is too low. There is another style with an adjustable top, I’ll check those out next. For now, I’ll have to stick with the Danskos that don’t cover the center of the foot.

  14. Mary Says:

They dont make them the same any more - My Danskos are all made in Denmark and they are the most comfortable well made shoes but I cant find good ones any more mine are by far superior to these. All now are made in Poland they have no size consistency you might find a shoe bigger than the other, the sock liners are glued in crooked with glue showing in the inside so I guess I quit. This pair is way too small and narrow even though they are the same size as all my 6 year old pairs. I guess I quit Dansko. No quality control!!

  15. California Says:

One foot bigger than the other - It is so annoying that almost every time I buy Danskos one shoe is bigger than the other. I called Dansko and they say it is because they are hand made but if you ask me they have a quality control problem and the sizes are not at all true to size or consistent and I have turned and sprained my ankle more than a few times but I do still wear them daily but I am really careful and I don’t carry my babies when I am wearing them.

  16. Harwich MA Says:

My daughter gave me a pair of the Dansko Professional Oiled clogs for my birthday and due to their quality and fit I now own 3 pair of clogs and one pair of boots. The clogs and boots are equally comfortable, have plenty of support and are one of the most comfortable shoes I have owned. The craftsmanship is excellent, after three years my original pair of clogs are still in great condition (except for one small area sporting teeth marks from one of our dogs) and that is with a lot of use. I would highly recommend Dansko clogs and clog boots.

  17. Lisa Says:

Dansko professional clogs - I love these shoes so much. I have a white pair for work, and my feet never get tired in them. I decided to get a pair for every day use too, and I am not disappointed. In fact I also bought these shoes for my daughters, they are easy for them to just slide on, and they love them too! I find that you should order up a bit, I wear a size 9 & for maximum comfort I like to order a size 40 in this style shoe. I also have the open back clogs, & I like a size 40 in that style too.

  18. Sarah Says:

As always…I feel like my feet are finally happy when a new pair of Danskos arrive. I have wide feet and am overweight. Yet, I can walk miles in these shoes! I always think “oh…too expensive”…but, I can wear them everyday for months and months. And, when they start to wear, I still walk on. The lesson I learned this time was “why wait?” They are worth every penny. Please note that the “fit questions” below are skewed…I have funky feet. And, Ive worn Danskos a lot, so I know how they fit for ME.

  19. Knoxville, TN Says:

Best fitting and feeling Dansko clogs I’ve gotten yet. I can’t say why or what’s different, but it’s my third pair and it fits a little differently than the other two pairs I have (but is the same size). I’m not sure why as the styling is identical; the only difference is age. The other two pairs were purchased in the last 2-3 years. At any rate, I’ll more than likely be purchasing Danskos again in the future, as I have arthritis in both of my feet and this shoe was on the “recommended list” given to me by my podiatrist. My only wish is that Danskos could have a little softer and cushier foot bed for when I need to wear them all day.

  20. Meghan Says:

A small break in period, but very comfy - I got these shoes because I stand for 8 hours a day at my work and I am 7 months pregnant. After a few days of break in (the dip over the toe area I had to get used to) these shoes are great. My feet do not hurt after a long day.

  21. Virginia from Gainesville, FL Says:

Excellent shoe - I was extremely impressed with how fast I got used to the unique fit of this shoe — the heel does slip, but it doesn’t mean the shoe is too big. I did get a couple of blisters when I took these out on long (two-mile) walks in the first couple of days, but that has not happened since (and they were not bad blisters). I have difficult feet to fit (very large feet with boxy toes and super high arches — I took a 42 and usually wear an 11), but these might be the best thing I have ever bought. I am nine months pregnant, and have not had problems with achy feet since buying these shoes. I really dig them. And, as always, Zappos was fantastic with service!

  22. Hannah from Menlo Park, CA Says:

Best shoes for swelling pregnant feet! I sought out these shoes on the advice of a friend when my feet started swelling around the 7th month of my pregnancy. Not only are they wonderfully comfortable, they’ve virtually eliminated the heel pain I had been getting from my changing weight and posture. I can walk all day in these shoes and still be perfectly happy. Best of all, no laces, which is great now that I can no longer reach my feet!

  23. Kfz, New Jersey Says:

Stellar decision - It took awhile to purchase these shoes, mainly because I don’t normally spend too much money on shoes. However, I “interviewed” people I met wearing the Dansko clogs, including several people I met at the doctor’s office, and everyone told me the same thing: “They are so comfortable. They are worth every cent.” I bought them as an everyday shoe and haven’t been disappointed. Initially, I had to exchange the size. I found that ordering up didn’t work for me. I wear a 6.5, so I got the U.S. 6 size, and they fit wonderfully. A little stiff at the outset, but I’m wearing into them quite wonderfully. They look cute, and most of all, they’re comfortable. I highly recommend.

  24. Sally, Providence, RI Says:

Comfortable, with contingencies - The shoe runs small, so I had to return the size 38 that usually fits me (I’m an American size 8) for a 39. The 39 is much better, and the bed of the shoe is very supportive. I have worn these constantly since getting them and find that they feel better with certain kinds of socks. If I wear socks that have any synthetic fibers in them at all, the shoe will rub and create a blister. Cotton and cashmere socks don’t rub. This may say more about the sock than about the shoe, but the interaction of the shoes inside with the fiber must also have something to do with this. Anyway, after two weeks of wearing the shoes at home and finding them delightful, I wore them to NYC for a weekend of extensive walking, and came away fairly crippled with blisters. It’s been a week since I returned, and I haven’t had the nerve to put the shoes on again. I would recommend wearing these shoes with natural fiber socks and breaking them in over a very long period of time.

  25. Ron, NJ Says:

I saw these on a co-worker and asked about them…I’m an avid Birkenstock (Boston model) clog wearer in the summer, but can’t wear them at the workplace…I’d seen people wearing the pro clogs here and there over the last fifteen years, but never quite really took notice, or even inquired about them until I started working in a position where I’m on my feet almost all day long…My co-worker said that they were the most comfortable things she ever wore, and practically lives in them most of the year…That said, I deceided to get a pair of my own…They ARE comfortable! They take just a few days to break-in and get used to, but after that…there’s no turning back! I’m probably going back to my local retailer for a second pair soon!
