Chunky but cute - I bought these to look cute with pants for the holiday season and they really do the job. Great standing comfort. My toes are quite comfortable, but when walking the heel slips off. The heel is just wider than my own. I can keep them on if I walk, but I would not recommended running in them or you might end up like Cinderella.
Lovely shoes with an extra added bonus - I put these on and was immediately charmed. I wear Dansko clogs to work in, so I was prepared for the heel slip and the weight of the shoe. What I wasn’t prepared for is how cute these darn shoes are. I have the black cabrio, which is very shiny, and makes my feet look like a pair of huge beetles. In a good way, I mean. If you want cute, clunky, heavy-soled shoes with that special beetle something, get these.
Another pair of great Danskos! I love these shoes! I have a few pairs of Danskos now and these are my favorites. Everyone I see wants them! They are very hip and cute for Danskos, which I like. The only thing I think is odd is how the people at a store that sells Danskos always “upsize” you because they are supposed to fit “loose.” The only Danskos I hate are the 1st pair I bought because the guy insisted I needed at 38 (I am a perfect size 6). I walk right out of the darn things. Ever since I have bought size 36 and they are always perfect. And these are not only perfectly fitting Danskos, they are so cute and the envy of everyone I work at the spa with! I am a teacher and on my feet most of the day. The Myla is the perfect shoe for my situation. It’s so comfortable, plus very stylish so my students don’t think I’m a fashion “don’t.”
I have “difficult” feet and needed shoes for work (as admin assistant) that I could wear with long skirts and dresses. Ive only worn birks for the past few years, but none I found were right for the office. I had the professional Danskos at one point but I kept falling down in them (once when I was pregnant!) because the heel is tapered and is narrower at the bottom. The mylas are extremely stable as well as cute. The shiny leather dresses them up. I have a bunion but these didn’t hurt me. I wore them today with black “loafer socks” that just came up to the top of the straps and were basically unnoticeable. In fact the shoes looked more conservative and less “strappy” with the sock. The “no-show” type socks would work too. I think they will be cute in summer with no socks or hose too. I cannot stand anything with a heel, that is pointy, that scrunches my toes, is unstable, is too narrow, that rubs or hurts my feet, has no arch support, or is just plain ugly, and I LOATHE PUMPS of any kind. Anyway, Ive been looking all over and these are so comfortable I can wear them all day and not be hobbling in pain, while also being office-appropriate (if a bit unconventional). Im a 8.5-9 and got the 40 regular, which are perfect. Stylish comfort - Love this Dansko style (Myla). I got it in Mulberry, and it’s a great color…not too purple, not too red, just right. Looks great with jeans. Wear ‘em barefoot and see your toes peek through!
Poor Construction - I purchased a pair of Myla’s, (not from here, unfortunately), and one elastic strap was broken when the shoes arrived. I discovered that even though it appears they could have been sewn, the elastic is glued to the leather. I can’t believe that Dansko put out a product with such obviously cheap construction. I own several other styles, and have been quite happy with them. I hope this isn’t a trend!
Ahhhhhhhhhhh….. I love my ortho’s. I bought these shoes for a house shoe. I have hardwood floor throughout my entire home and it is quite the killer on my body as I have arthritis in my knees and spine. I also had two lumbar surgeries and one cervical spine fusion and these have helped me tremendously. Allowing me to stand for long periods of time. I need a little heel to take pressure of my lumbar and they lift me nicely, so I don’t have to lean in my deep kitchen sink too. They will most definitely give me comfort while baking those holiday treats this year. Last year I struggled churning our cookies, cakes and etc. They fit boxy like I believe they are supposed to and slip a little at the heel like it suggests. So a perfect fit and a true size for me.
Dansko Myla review - This is a great shoe! Very comfortable. The straps are great so you can adjust the width. I have narrow feet and was able to adjust them appropriately. I have worn them for 10-12 hours with no problems. I only caution that the Brown Cabrio is very very dark- almost black. I exchanged this for mulberry. It is a nice burgundy color. Very cute! I love these shoes. I did have a problem at first though, the strap broke after wearing the shoes only once. I had to return the shoes and order a new pair. They do feel a bit larger over the top of my foot than my other Danskos do, but they’re still great. Love ‘em! I love Danskos; after 3 foot surgeries, I can’t just wear “any shoe.” I loved the funky-but-not-over-the-top style, and this style sole is my absolute favorite. Comfortable all day, and no break-in period. But I was surprised to find my usual size 38 was too large, and I had to return them for a 37. I have many Danskos … all size 38. Another comfortable pair of Dansko - I own the Dansko Mary Janes essentially purchased these because my old ones were falling apart after five years of intense wear. They are every bit as comfortable as my last pair. Walking on cement is like a dream in Danskos. They’re great city shoes and even better if you have wide feet.
Miles and miles in my new Danskos - I received these shoes two days before my trip to Chicago’s SOFA show at the Navy Pier. I walked miles and mile sin three days….theses shoes were great! I’m a Dansko fan, but these are more attractive than the older style I’m used to, but with the same great wear!
